On Saturday and Sunday, May 18 and 19, 2018, The Life Group LA, along with The City of West Hollywood, APLA and Viiv Healthcare, will present “Elevate: The Next Level of Care: Aging & HIV+,” a two-day seminar designed for HIV-positive folks over the age of fifty. The seminar is designed to “invigorate and re-awaken your connection to community, self-care and purpose” by connecting seminar attendees in an interactive experience with experts in the field of HIV and aging.
The seminar is free seminar and will address concerns of those who are HIV+ over the age of fifty and those who love them. Topics covered during this seminar will include: Isolation/Depression, Finances/Financial Planning, Finding Purpose, Sex & Intimacy/ Dating, Housing, Healthy Food on a Budget/Nutrition for the Aging Adult, Brain Health/Memory, Physical Well-Being, Medical–Cardiovascular Disease, Bone Loss, Dementia, Certain Cancers, Diabetes, Osteoporosis, Arthritis, and Hypertension.
